David Apel

American perfumer David Apel entered the fragrance industry at Givaudan in 1980 after studying environmental chemistry. He began as a compounder and worked with gas chromatography before training through the American Society of Perfumers, receiving its Young Perfumer Award in 1991. His career has included work with Givaudan, Fragrance Resources and Symrise, where he became a senior perfumer. His fragrance work includes Tom Ford Black Orchid, Elizabeth Arden Sunflowers, Bond No. 9 Bleecker Street and Sean John Unforgivable.
